The rocks at San Bartolo near Tarifa are protected from the wind and can be enjoyed all year around thanks to the mild climate. 200 different climbing routes in several degrees of difficulty from 3 to 8a offer dream views over the Strait of Gibraltar and are fun for beginners as well as for advanced climbers.
These climbing courses are individually organised taking into consideration firstly the objectives and the climbing knowledge of the Spanish language students.
The climbing courses are focused on the individual needs of every group and introduce beginners to this wonderful sport by giving them some general material instructions, safety engineering, roping technology, knots-und climbing instructions. The goal is an independent and safe climb of the "Toprope" (the rope is already attached to the rock), as well as an introduction to the fundamentals of climbing tactics and route selection and providing every participant with an individual rating scale and a personal training prgramme.
Escuela Hispalense's climbing programme is offered all year around.
