3-Step programme for beginners of this fascinating Sport:
Step 1:
Theoretical initiation for safety procedure and how to handle the equipment, first practice on the beach. The target is for the apprentice to learn how to set up/fold the kite, take off and landing, and control of the kite. Depending on the development of the course within the group, an initiation to the 4-line kite may be approached.
Step 2:
First attempts in the water. Teaching of relaunch and bodydrag (the apprentice is being pulled by the kite through the water). The target here is, for the apprentice to control the kite in the water and to restart navigating from the water (relaunch with bodydrag), to reach an agreed point and to gather force and speed from the kite.
Step 3:
Theoretical initiation in the technique of relaunches, followed by practical exercises in the water with the board and first efforts to relaunch with the board. Training takes place in double groups, aiming at improving the technique and gaining confidence.
Beginners are not the only target of the kitesurfing programme, but also the advanced who’would like to increase their abilities.
Course members with advanced level, are, if possible, to be integrated in proceeding group courses. Hence, the person enters in the kite course at a later stage. It is important for the trainer to be informed beforehand of the level of experience of the apprentice.
All participants receive a certificate of participation on termination of the course with the knowledge level attained. The level of the course can vary depending on the expertise of the participants.
With ideal weather/wind conditions, the possibility may arise, that a kite surf course is terminated before the stipulated fortnight. In this case the kite surf school offers the possibility to rent kite surf equipment with a 10 % discount.
The kite surf packages are offered all year round. However the procedure of the courses during the winter (December to February) depends on weather conditions.
Special
Trial course for 90 euros. This includes three hours of the first unit of the kite surf course for beginners. This should give you an insight into the sport and ease the decision whether to book a whole course.
