Our host families are carefully selected. The most important criteria is cordiality and hospitality. That is why students are asked to respect the few norms the school has imposed so that the time with the host family will be a successful one for both sides. Every student will learn more about Spanish culture by living with a family. The family will maintain the daily routine without making changes. It is expected that every student agrees and respects this family structure unconditionally.

Every student will get his / her own key. Should it be lost, the family must be informed immediately.

For adult students there are no time limits for going out. Younger students from 16 or 17 will be more controlled and outings are limited to 2.00 am unless we get other instructions from the parents.

Half board is included in the homestay, i. e. generally breakfast and dinner. If a student would rather have lunch than dinner he / she should ask the host family directly. The timetable for breakfast is approx. 8.30 am during the week and later at weekends. In most cases students help themselves to breakfast at the weekends after they get up. Dinner is served between 9.00 pm / 9.30 pm. If a student misses dinner he / she should inform the host family in advance so that they do not wait or worry.

The student has the right to use the amenities of the household and to feel like a family member (eg. putting own food in the fridge, watching TV, etc.)

Incoming phone calls from family or friends may be received at the host family residence. For outbound calls the student is asked to make them outside the host family´s house or with a prepaid telephone card.

Dirty clothes will be washed with the family's clothes if it is a normal quantity. For large quantities the school asks the student to contribute 1,50 EUR per machine load, to be paid directly to the family.

In southern Spain there is a shortage of water especially in summer. That is why students are asked to limit their consumption of water to the minimum when taking showers etc. and to avoid excessive use.

Generally the family does not allow students to have friends overnight in the house unless they give explicit permission. If students bring home friends or other students from school during the day they should ask permission beforehand from the host family.

The arrival day is always Sunday before the course starts and the departure day is Saturday after the course ends. Extensions are possible according to availability and for a supplement of 30,- EUR per day in a single room and 50,- EUR per day in a double room.
