We are very happy about the revival of windsurfing and even more now that we can offer a combined programme Spanish and windsurfing in cooperation with the most prestigious windsurfing school in Tarifa.
The introductory windsurfing course for beginners is handled as follows:
The first steps every windsurfing beginner must learn are: Get equipment into the water, rig, get sail out of the water, turn the board 360 degrees in both directions, sail a few metres, return to the beach. Objective: To be capable of preparing own equipment, keep sail out of the water, sail some meters and return without falling into the water.
Part two: Practice slalom close to the wind, get up on the sailboard without stopping. Turn the board without stopping and close to the wind. Objective: To be able to sail within a given course without stopping and without falling into the water, to sail and return to the starting point.
Part three: To know how to take advantage of the wind and to feel how to bring the sail into line, getting the right course close to the wind and finding the speed and finally to be able to change directions without losing speed.
Students with previous knowledge of windsurfing can also profit from our windsurfing package either to improve tecnique or to learn some manoeuvres. Advanced windsurfing lessons have a different timetable from the beginners' windsurfing lessons. Please indicate in the enrollment form if you are not a beginner and indicate your windsurfing level.
All participants receive a certificate of participation on termination of the course with the knowledge level attained. The level of the course can vary depending on the expertise of the participants.
Should the windsurfing course be completed in less than two weeks because of ideal wind conditions the participant can upon request and availability rent out windsurf gear for a discount of 10 % from the price list.
This package is available from March to the end of October.
